One held for vandalising Madaripur passport office

Police detained a teenage boy in Madarupur district on Monday afternoon on charge of vandalising district passport office.

Detained Al Amin Bepari, 16, is a resident of Kukrail area of the district town.

Madaripur regional passport office assistant director Md Rustam Ali said seven to eight young men entered the office and demanded toll.

As they were refused to be given money, they threatened the officials.

They barred people to enter the office for getting service and locked into altercation with the on-duty Ansar man.

Later, they threw brick chips and vandalised the office.

Madaripur Sadar Model Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Md Kamrul Islam Mia said one was arrested in this connection.
