Village doctor killed in Gopalganj road accident

A village doctor was killed as a passenger bus rammed into a battery-run easy-bike in Sadar upazila of Gopalganj district on Monday morning.

Deceased Tarun Kanti Sarker, 50, was a resident of Durgapur village in Chitalmari upazila of Bagerhat.  

Sadar Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Manirul Islam said the bus hit hard the easy-bike from in front in BSCIC Bridge area in the district town at about 11:00am, leaving Tarun dead on the spot and five other passengers of the three-wheeler injured. 

Being informed, police rescued the injured and took them to Gopalganj General Hospital, he added
