Man killed in truck-tractor collision

A truck collided head-on with a tractor in Nalitabari upazila of Sherpur district on Friday afternoon, leaving a man dead on the spot and four others injured.

The deceased was identified Shafi Uddin, a resident of Rajnagar village in the upazila.

Nalitabari Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Basir Ahmed Badal said that sand-laden the truck collided with the tractor coming from opposite direction on Sherpur-Nalitabari highway in Rajnagar area, leaving the man dead on the spot and four others injured.

Being informed, fire fighting personnel and police rescued the injured and sent them to a local hospital, he added.
