Jahangir made Islamic University proctor

Professor M Jahangir Hossain of Islamic History & Culture department of Islamic University in Kushtia has been appointed as new proctor of the university.

IU vice-chancellor Professor Shaikh Abdus Salam appointed Jahangir Hossain to the post, SM Abdul Latif, acting registrar of the university said on Thursday.

He was appointed to the post as the tenure of previous proctor Professor Paresh Chandra Barman came to an end, he added.
