COVID-19: 30 more deaths, 1,367 new cases reported in country

Bangladesh on Wednesday reported 30 more coronavirus deaths and 1,367 fresh cases.

Now, the country's death toll from the virus stands at 7,359 while the infection number at 504,868.

Of the deceased, 21 were male and nine were women. All of them died at different hospitals across the country.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter through a press release signed by Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of DGHS, this afternoon.

Health authorities also reported 2,416 more recoveries in the past 24 hours, taking the total recovered number to 4,44,345.

During this period, 15,932 samples were tested in 163 labs across the country. So far, a total of 3,122,426 samples have been tested in the country till today.

Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus case on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
