Educational institutions to remain closed until Jan 16

The government has extended the closure of all the educational institutions of the country until January 16 in order to curb the spread of coronavirus.

MA Khair, public relations officer of the Ministry of Education, said this on Friday

He said, 'The ongoing general holiday has been extended again considering the present situation of the country. All educational institutions will remain closed till January 16. However, Qawmi Madrasa will be exempted from this shutdown.'

Earlier, the government also cancelled Primary Education Completion (PEC), JSC, HSC and other equivalent examinations due to coronavirus pandemic.

On March 16, the government closed all educational institutions to prevent the spread of coronavirus. No classes have been held since that day.
