2 Gopalganj BCL leader suspended over Bangabandhu sculpture remarks

Two leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj district have been suspended from the organisation reportedly over controversial comments on social media about sculpture of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Kashiani BCL unit president Md Azad Hossain Mridha confirmed the matter.

The suspended leaders are vice president Milon Molla and school affairs secretary Amirul Islam Ruhul.

Although, a press statement on Monday signed by the president and general secretary Masum Sheikh said they were suspended for violating party discipline.
