Mocking the government rules to tackle the COVID-19, BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy has said Sheikh Hasina is the only person who abides by the health guidelines mostly than any other in the country.
She (Sheik Hasina) did not make any public appearance in 10 months amid the spread of coronavirus, he added.
“Sheikh Hasina is the only person who abides by the health guidelines mostly than any other in the country. She did not come outside in 10 months amid the spread of coronavirus. She comes in front of camera only. And, Obaidul Quader has also been following the same way," he said while addressing a programme at party’s central office at Nayapaltan in the capital on Saturday.
Sramik Dal arranged a doa mahfil seeking the full recovery of BNP’s standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan who is receiving treatment at hospital after being infected with COVID-19.
“I am not feared about COVID-19. I am scared about the terrific condition of the state. Death from coronavirus is pathetic. But it is more urgent to forge resistance against the government personally, collectively and nationally for establishing much desired democracy,” said Gayeshwar.
He further said more people are dying in road accidents than coronavirus. There is no control to get rid of this, said the BNP leader.
Sramik Dal president Anwar Hossain, BNP chairperson adviser Abdus Salamm vice chairman Dr AZM Jahid Hossain and organizing secretary Emran Saleh Prince were present at that time.
