Rohingyas enjoy traditional 'Mezban'

The government has arranged a traditional 'Mezban' programme for the Rohingyas before their relocation to Bhasan Char.

After having the 'Mezbani meal' hundreds of  Rohingyas have left Kutupalang camp in Ukhia.

A few hundred chairs and tables under colourful canopies brought a festive look in the camp where waiters wearing white dress were seen serving dished to their guests.   

The programme was arranged to make the Rohingyas journey pleasant.

The Rohingyas also expressed their happiness for receiving such kind hospitality.

Ten cows were slaughtered on Wednesday night for cooking 'Mezbani beef' to entertain  3,500 people. And the food serving started from Thursday morning.

Cooks said the Rohingyas were served breakfast, Mezbani food for lunch and chicken polao for dinner.
