Rajshahi man held for drunk driving

A man has been arrested from C&B intersection area of Rajshahi city for drunk driving a private car.

Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested Shahnur Rhaman Ananada, 34, a resident of Chandipur area of the city, on Tuesday night.

Shahadat Hossain Khan, officer in-Charge (OC) of Rajpara Police Station, said Ananda recklessly drove the car from Rajshahi Circuit House and then stopped the car in the middle of the road at the C&B interaction area where he hurled abusive words at rickshaw pullers, shopkeepers and pedestrians.

On suspicion, detectives arrested him and recovered a bottle of foreign liquor from inside the car.

A case was filed with the Police Station in this connection and he was sent to jail on Wednesday morning.
