Bangladesh: 38 more deaths from COVID-19 reported in last 24hrs



Bangladesh on Wednesday reported 38 more deaths from novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

Now, the country's death toll from the virus stands at 6,713.

Of the deceased, 25 were male while 13 were women. Thirty seven died at different hospitals across the country and one at home.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter through a press release signed by Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of DGHS, on this afternoon.

Meanwhile, 2,198 positive cases were detected in the past 24 hours after testing 15,972 samples, raising the total infection number to 4,69,423.

During this time, 2,562 corona patients were declared free from the virus, taking the total recovered number to 3,85,786.
