Boat race held in Rangamati marking CHT Peace Accord anniv

Sadar Army Zone of Rangamati organised a boat race in Kaptai Lake on Wednesday marking the 23rd anniversary of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Peace Accord.

Brigadier Iftekur Rahman, Rangamati region commander of Bangladesh army, inaugurated the the boat race held from Madhya Tila area to Shaheed Minar ghat in four categories.

Rangamati District Council chairman Brisaketu Chakma, DGFI commander Col GS Colnel Imran Ibn Rouf, BGB sector commander Col AS Faisal, deputy commissioner AKM Mamunur Rashid, police superintendent M Alamgir Kabir, poura mayor Akbar Hossain Chowdhury and district Sports Association general secretary M Ashafiul Azam, among other, attened the programme.
