 7 get death in valiant FF Atiqullah murder case Judge Abu Zafar Md. Kamruzzaman of Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 handed down the judgement on Wednesday. Court sources confirmed the matter. The convicts are Gulzar Hossain, Shampa, Ashiq, Shihab Ahmed alias Shibu, Ahsanul Kabir Imon, Tajul Islam Tanu, Jahangir Khan alias Jahangir and Rafiqul Islam alias Amin alias Tunda Amin. According to the prosecution, Atiqullah Chowdhury, former chairman of Konda union of Dhaka's Keraniganj and Al convenor, went missing on December 10,2013. The next day, police recovered his charred body from the morgue of a hospital in Doleshwar area in Keraniganj. After killing, the convicts burnt the body to hide the murder. Atiqullah's son Saidur Rahman Faruk Chowdhury, also the chairman of Konda UP, recognised the body finding some papers and an ATM card with the body. Later, he filed a case with Dakshin Keraniganj Police Station. After investigation, police on January 31, 2015 submitted charge-sheet against eight persons.
