Woman dies after falling from auto-rickshaw

A woman died after falling from an auto rickshaw at Phulbari upazila in Kurigram district on Monday afternoon.

Deceased Shanti Rani Rai, 34, was the wife of Krishna Chandra Barman, a resident of the upazila.

Family sources of the deceased said Nilima along with her family members was going to a relative’s house by an auto rickshaw.

Shanti Rani fell from running the vehicle in Khejurer Tol area around 1:00 pm and received serious injuries.

Later, she was whisked off to Phulbari Upazila Health Complex the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

Phulbari Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Razib Kumar Rai confirmed the matter.
