 Factory director held in Dhaka for not paying workers Police on Saturday night arrested the director of a RMG factory in Dhaka’s Savar upazila in a case filed for not paying the arrears of workers. The arrested is Omar Fashion Limited director Marium Hossain. She was arrested from her house at Mirpur’s Pallabi area at night. According to source factory owners closed their factory on October 26 without paying the salaries of 69 workers. Factory owner Mosaddeq is threatening worker rather paying them, alleged the workers. Later, factory employee Sahfiqul Islam lodged a case with police station on behalf of his colleagues. Savar Model Police Station AFM Sayed said they arrested director of the factory in this connection and legal steps to be taken in this regard. OF/GY |
