Legendary actor and director Aly Zaker was laid to rest at Banani Graveryard in the capital on Friday afternoon.
He was buried around 4:35pm, said actor Farooque Ahmed, a close friend of the Zaker family.
Earlier, Aly's mortal remains was kept at the Liberation War Museum premises around 11.30 am for people to pay their respects to the Ekushey Padak winning artist.
He was given state guard of honour there.
The body was taken to his advertising agency Asiatic 3Sixty around 1pm and then Banani Graveyard Mosque where his namaz-e-janaza was held after the Asr prayers.
After a four-year battle with cancer, the eminent cultural personality and member of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra died at the United Hospital in the city on Friday morning at the age of 76.
