'Terrorist' held with firearm in Noakhali

Police in a raid arrested a 'terrorist' and an accused in a number of murder cases from Begumganj upazila of Noakhali on Friday morning.

Arrested Abdul Karim alias Royel,31, is also the second-in-command of notorious 'Sumon Bahini', said police.

The arrest was made in Uttar Parchim Eklashpur area.

Following his statement, police recovered a local pipegun, a cartridge and three knives from a bamboo cluster in a graveyard.

Begumganj Model police OC M Quamruzzaman Shikder said Royel was sent to jail following a court order.
