Police on Thursday arrested a man from Dinajpur’s Phulbari upazila for killing his 22-day-old newborn over family feud.
Phulbari Police Station OC Fakhrul Islam said Subash Chandra Mahanta, 28, son of the deceased, engaged in a quarrel with his wife over dowry in the morning. As one stage of it, he snatched his the baby from his wife’s lap and stabbed him to death.
Later, locals caught Subash and handed him over to police.
A case has been filed with the police station in this connection.
