HC issues rule on paying journalists' tax under 9th wage board

The on Wednesday issued a rule asking to know why deducting income tax from journalists under the 9th wage board award should not be declared illegal.

A virtual bench of Justice M Mujibur Rahman Mia and Justice Mohiuddin Shamim passed the order after hearing a writ petition.

Earlier, a writ petition had been filed seeking HC instruction in this regard.
