Woman kidnapped, raped in Laxmipur

Two people have allegedly picked a divorced woman and raped her at Kamalnagar upazila in Laxmipur district.

Police arrested Sagir, 50, and Suman, 22, on Monday night following a case filed with Kamalnagar Police Station by the victim.

Superintendent of Laxmipur police SM Kamruzzaman said one of them impersonate him as matchmaker while another picked her and, later, they raped the victim.

The arrested were sent to jail on Tuesday afternoon.
