IU celebrates 42nd University Day

The Islamic University (IU) observed its 42nd University Day on the campus in Kushtia on Sunday amid festivity and much enthusiasm.

Various programmes, including hoisting national flag and university flag, virtual discussion, releasing ballons and pigeons, cutting cake and tree plantation, were held on the campus, marking the day.

The university vice-chancellor Professor M Shaikh Abdus Salam inaugurated the programmes.

The university started its journey on November 22 in 1979.
