Mentioning that distorting history of independence is BNP's democracy, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Sunday warned befitting reply to be given for any evil-attempt to destroy people's peace and stability.
“Distorting the history of the country’s independence is the democracy of BNP. Befitting reply will be given for any evil attempt to destroy people's peace and stability in the name of holding agitation programme," he said.
Obaidul Quader, also Awami League General Secretary, came up with the warning while inaugurating a connecting road construction project at BNS Sheikh Hasina in Cox’s Bazar. He joined the function through videoconferencing from his official residence on parliament premises in Dhaka.
Mentioning that BNP again returned to their politics of arson attacks through setting fire to buses recently. he said,"They've (BNP) chosen the path of violence as people do not respond to their movements for their evil politics.”
He alleged that BNP blames government and the Election Commission for their defeat in any elections.
The minister also commented that BNP stays far from playing its party role to strengthen democratic institution.
