Four arrested Sirajganj JMB members sent to jail
Four members of banned outfit Jamatul Mujahideen Bangladesh's (JMB), who surrendered to RAB after the elite force cordoned off their house in Sirajganj's Shahjadpur upazila, were sent to jail on Saturday evening.
RAB-12 handed them over to Shahjadpur police in the afternoon after questioning.
Later, they were sent to jail following a court order.
The arrested JMB men were Shamim Hossain Kiron, 19, and Naimul Islam, 25, from Sathia upazila of Pabna; Atiar Rahman, 19, from Dinajpur; and Aminul Islam Shanto, 20, from Satkhira.
Earlier on Thursday night, RAB arrested the four JMB men including Rajshahi regional commander Mahmud Jewel, 24, when they were holding a meeting.
Gleaning information from them, RAB cordoned off the house at early hours of Friday.
The four came out of the hideout around 10:45am on Friday and surrendered to the elite force.
Three cases were filed with Shahjadpur Police Station on Saturday evening in this connection.
