 AL doesn't believes in politics of vengeance: Quader Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has said his party does not believe in politics of vengeance. “Politics of vengeance is not good for democracy. Awami League never believes in the politics of vengeance,” he said while addressing the inauguration of BRTC’s double-decker bus services on Mirpur-Narayanganj route on Saturday virtually from his official residence. Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said, “Democracy flourishes through participation of political parties. But, it is a matter of sorrow that BNP speaks only on democracy though they are staying far behind to contribute to the progress of democracy.” BNP takes part in elections to make it questionable said Quader, adding that the party (BNP) in one side speaks for democracy but another side it tries to make election process questionable. He said BNP is father of violence, conspiracy and killings in politics and they are still practicing it. “Awami League is the most tolerant political party of the country. It witnessed the brutality of August 15 massacre, November 3 jail killings and August 21 grenade attacks but did not do politics of vengeance,”Quader said. GY |
