Young woman found dead in sack

The decomposed body of a woman packed in a sack has been recovered in Gournadi upazila of Barishal district.

Local people found the body of a woman, aged around 30, in a sack floating in a canal at Barthi area around 6pm on Thursday and informed police.

Afzal Hossain, officer in-charge of Gournadi Police Station confirmed the matter.

Inspector Tawhiduzzaman, OC (investigation), said miscreants might have killed the woman 3-4 days ago and dumped the body in the canal.

The dead body sent to Barishal Sher-e- Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
