Bhola DAE official dies of Covid-19

Harlal Madhu, the deputy director of Bhola's Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), died of Covid-19 at a hospital early Friday.

Madhu breathed his last at 12:15am at Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College (SBMCH).

With this, the number of virus deaths rose to nine in the district.

Sadar upazila agriculture officer Riaz Uddin informed Madhu tested positive for the virus on November 7 and was admitted to Bhola General Hospital.

The Agriculture officer was shifted to the SBMCH's Corona Unit following deterioration of his condition.

The Civil Surgeon’s Office said so far 866 people were diagnosed with coronavirus in the district.
