Two held with liquor in Khagrachhari

Officials of Department of Narcotics Control in Khagrachhari’s Ramgarh upazila arrested two men along with liquor on Thursday afternoon.

The arrested are Sarkumar Tripura and Kalakumar Tripura.

On information, a team of law enforcers conducted a drive in Jagannathpara area in the afternoon and detained them with seven kilograms of liquor and 600 kgs of other ingredient (Muli) used to make liquor.

District Department of Narcotics Control assistant director Md Abdul Hamid, Upazila assistant commissioner (land) Sajib Kanti Rudra, Ramgarh Police Station second officer Md Mujibur Rahman, among others, were present during the drive.

A case was filed in this connection and they were sent to jail following a court order.
