Teenager killed as bus hits mahendra in Bhola

A teenage boy was killed and nine others were injured when a bus hit a three wheeler (locally known as mahendra), in Daulatkhan upazila of Bhola district on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Tamjid, 15, son of Abdul Malek of Charkhalifa union in the upazila.

Daulatkhan Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Md Bajlar Rahman said a bus hit the mahendra from behind at Charkhalifa area.

Then, the mahendra fell on a roadside ditch before hitting passerby Tamjid.

The boy fell in in the ditch and drowned while nine passengers of the vehicle were injured.

The injured were admitted to Daulatkhan Upazila Health Complex and Bhola Sadar Hospital, he added.
