A human chain was formed at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) demanding the conversion of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) department into Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE).

Students of the ETE hold an hour-long programme in front of the university at 10 am on Tuesday on the Gopalganj-Tungipara road.

The speakers at the human chain said ETE, APECE and ECE departments have already been converted into EEE in different universities of the country.

Despite the long-standing demand of the students, the ETE department in the university has not been converted into EEE yet.
