IU teachers donate 1-day salary for purchasing student's internet package

The teachers of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia have donated their one-day salary equivalent Tk 3.5 lakh to its students for purchasing internet data package to join online classes.

The amount has been donated to the students who are facing financial crisis during this pandemic

The decision has been made by Islamic University Teacher’s Association (IUTA).

IU Vice Chancellor Prof Shaikh Abdus Salam handed over the cheque to the chairmen of all departments on Monday.

IUTA President Prof M Kazi Akhtar Hossain, General Secretary Prof M Mustafizur Rahman along with other teachers and officials were present there.
