Man killed in clash over lending money in B’baria

A man was killed and five others were injured following a clash over the interest of money in Brahmanbaria’s Nasirnagar upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Akkas Miah, 40, son of late Maraj Miah, a resident of Mohishber village in the upazila.

Quoting locals Nasirnagar Police Station inspector Kabir Hossain said Hossain Ali, one resident of the village, lent some money to Ruhul Amin and had feud over this.

As sequel of it, supporters of both men engaged in a clash at about 10.00am, leaving at least six people injured.

Akkas succumbed to his injuries in Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital.
