Man beaten dead 'by siblings' in Sonaimuri

A man has allegedly been beaten to death by his two siblings in Sonaimuri upazila of Noakhali.

Deceased Mohammad Hossain,50, was a resident of Dakshinbatgram village.

Police and local sources said Hossain had been at loggerhead with his younger brother Kamal Hossain and sister Shahnaj Akhter over the ownership of lands.

As a sequel, the two younger siblings beat up Hossain with iron rod on November 11, leaving him critically injured.

Hossain, a father two children, was given first aid and then taken to home where he died on Sunday evening

Sonaimuri police OC M Giasuddin confirmed the matter.
