Rajshahi road crashes leave 3 dead, six injured

Three people died and six others were injured in three separate road accidents in Rajshahi district on Sunday.

Two of the deceased were identified as Foysal, 28, a resident of Amchattar area under Shah Makhdum Police Station, and Jamerul, 48, of Nowapara area in Charghat upazila of the district.

Rajpara Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Shahadat Hossain Khan said a passenger bus smashed an auto-rickshaw in Daspukur area of Rajshahi city around 10am, leaving a man, aged around 50, dead on the spot and three others injured.

The injured persons were taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Shah Makhdum Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Saiful Islam said a truck hit cattle-laden three-wheeler in Nawdapara Amchattar area around 11am, leaving Jamerul dead and three others injured.

Meanwhile, Foysal died as a pick up van collided with three-wheeler in the same area around 12 noon, said OC Saiful.
