Various health care schemes progressing in Netrakona

Works on three upazila health complexes and 23 community clinics are progressing fast in Netrakona district in view of reaching health care services to the doorsteps of people.

Health Engineering Department (HED) is implementing the uplift schemes involving Tk 6,226 crore.

Under the scheme, 50-bed Mohonganj health complex to be upgraded to a 100-bed one while 31-bed Khaliajuri and Barhatta health complexes to be upgraded to 50-bed ones at a cost of Tk 5,591:37 crore.

Meanwhile, works on 23 community hospitals financed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) are in progress.

Under the programme, works on construction and re-construction of 13 community clinics, costing Tk 366.65 crore, are being implemented.

Works on 10 more community clinics with the government fund are progressing fast. A total of Tk 268:57 crore will be spent for the projects.
