Miscreants take away head from body after exhume

Miscreants have took away the head cutting it from an elderly woman's body after exhumed it from a graveyard in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna.

Jaynagar Central Graveyard committee member Abul Bari said the 85-year-old Fazila Khatun, wife of later Abul Hossain Paramnik, died of old age complications on October 31. She buried in the grave yard on the same day.

Local people on Thursday morning found her beheaded body at the graveyard and informed police.

Police, however, visited the scene and permitted to bury the body of Fazila Khatun again. And she was buried.

Ishwardi Police Station OC Sheikh Nasir Uddin said, "The incident might have took place any time at night. Stern action will be taken after getting written allegation."
