Postal DG Sudhangshu Bhadra sent on forced leave

The government has sent Director General of the Directorate of Posts Sudhangshu Shekhar Bhadra on forced leave over corruption charges.

Posts and Telecommunications Division issued a notice in this regard on Tuesday.

The order will come into effect from Wednesday and will remain in force until further notice.

According to the notice,  initial investigation found evidence of corruption against Bhadra.

So, the authorities concerned have decided to send him on forced leave.

Earlier on September 23, the the Parliamentary Standing Committee on  the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology recommended Bhadra's removal.
