Police recovered the body of a farmer from a paddy field in Chougachha upazila of Jashore district early Monday.
The body was sent to hospital for autopsy in the morning, said Chougachha police OC Rifat Khan Razib.
Deceased Pikul Hossain,32, was a resident of Dakshin Kayarpara village under Sadar union in the upazila.
Meanwhile, the victim's father Sakhwat Hossain filed a case against 7/8 people. Of the accused, named of three were mentioned in the case.
According to the case statement, Pikul went to the paddy field after taking meal in the afternoon on Sunday. But, he did not return home.
The family conducted a search and, later, found the body in the field at night.
Police said the body bore a number of injury marks.
Investigation is underway to ascertain the reason behind the killing.
