Bangladesh reports 25 more deaths from COVID-19

Bangladesh recorded 25 more deaths from the novel coronavirus in last 24 hours.

Now, the death toll in the country stood at 6,092 on Monday.

Meanwhile, the infection number reached 4,21,921 as 1,683 tested positive for the virus at the same time.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter through a press release signed by Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of DGHS, this afternoon.

Of the dead, 17 were male and eight were women. All of them died at different hospitals across the country.

Some 1,623 patients were declared free from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries to 339,768.

Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus cases on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
