Minor girl drowns in Manikganj

A two-year-old girl drowned in a pond at Ghior upazila in Manikganj district on Saturday afternoon.

Deceased Nusrat was the daughter of Md Solaiman, a resident of Baniajuri village in the upazila.

Solaiman said she drowned in a pond near house in the afternoon.

Later, her body was recovered and taken to Munnu Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

After her namaj-e-janaza , she was buried in the evening.
