Woman killed in Bogura land dispute

A woman has been killed and six others were injured in a clash between two rivals in Sariakandi upazila of Bogura district over land dispute.

Deceased Asma Begum, 34, was a resident of Hasanpara village under Hatsherpur union in the upazila.

The incident took place at the village on Friday afternoon when two rivals swooped on each other over the ownership of a piece of land, leaving seven people injured.

All the injured were sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. Asma died there around 9:00pm while undergoing treatment, Sariakandi Police Station OC Mizanur Rahman confirmed.
