Govt urges all to remain alert about rumours

The government on Tuesday urged the people to remain alert about any misleading information or rumour or provocative speech and simultaneously expressed a firm vow to take punitive actions against the rumour mongers.

“The government is determined to take stern actions against rumour mongers,” an official statement said here.

The statement also urged all to remain aware of preventing any kind of propaganda and verify the authenticity of any information.

The people have also been urged to call immediately to 999 or inform the nearest police station if they come across any information related to rumour creators.
