Jail Killing Day observed in Manikganj

The Jail Killing Day was observed in Manikganj district on Tuesday.

The district Awami League arranged a discussion and dua mahfil at its district party office marking the day. 

A minute of silence was observed in memory of the four national leaders before the discussion. Later,  a munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls.

Presided over by the district AL president Golam Mohiuddin, senior vice-president Abdul Majid, general secretary Abdus Salam, joint general secretary Sultanul Ajam Khan, the district Mahila AL president Nina Rahman, among others, spoke.

On November 3, 1975, four national leaders, and heroes of the country’s Liberation War-- Syed Nazrul Islam, Tajuddin Ahmad, Captain Mansur Ali, and AHM Quamruzzaman--were assassinated inside the Dhaka Central Jail.
