Minor drowns in Dianjpur

A four-year-old boy drowned in a pond in Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur district on Monday afternoon.

Deceased Sakim Hossain was the son of Mostak Hossain, a resident of Chhatni Bilpara village in the upazila.

Deceased’s paternal grandfather Momin Hossain said he drowned in a pond beside home around 2pm when he was playing beside it.

His floating body was rescued and taken to Hakimpur Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
