Woman ‘commits suicide’ in Narsingdi

A housewife reportedly committed suicide in Narsingdi’s Raipur upazila on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Rumi Akhter, 22, wife of Usman, a resident of Kamalpur village in the upazila.

Mother of the deceased said her daughter had a quarrel with her husband while talking with mobile phone in the morning. As sequel to it, Rumi was found hanging from a tree nearby the house, she added.

Raipur Police Station sub-inspector Dev Dulal confirmed the matter.

The body was taken to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue.
