A Bangladeshi man living in South Africa was reportedly shot dead during a robbery in Johannesburg city on Monday.

Deceased Md Arif, 30, was a resident of Gorkata village at Senbag upazila in Noakhali.

Arif was shot during the robbery at a shop named Bismillah Super Shop in Lenasia Extension 13 of the city around 9pm local time.

Deceased's friend Main Uddin who lives in South Africa confirmed the matter.
