COVID-19 in Bangladesh: 23 die in last 24 hrs

Twenty-three more deaths were recorded in last 24 hours in Bangladesh, taking the total number to 5,861.

Meanwhile, the positive cases reached 4,03,079 as 1,493 virus patients were detected at the same time.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter through a press release signed by Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of DGHS, on Wednesday afternoon.

In the past 24 hours, 1,610 patients were declared free from COVID-19, raising the total recovered number to 3,19,733.

A total of 12,357 samples were tested at 111 authorised labs across the country.
