Sinha murder: Constable Rubel on 5-day remand again
Suspended constable Rubel Sharma has been placed on a five-day fresh remand in Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan murder case, on completion of his seven-day remand.
Cox's Bazar Senior Magistrate Tamanna Farah passed the order on Wednesday as investigation officer superintendent of police Md Khayrul Islam sought eight day remand.
Rubel Sharma has been included as the last accused among the 14.
On July 31 night, Major (retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan was killed in police firing at a checkpost at Shamlapur area under Baharchhara union along the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive.
Later, his sister filed a case where she made Baharchhara Investigation Centre's Inspector Liakat Ali as prime accused and Teknaf Police Station OC as the accused number two. Besides, seven more policemen were made accused in the case.
