BNP to do whatever needed for midterm elections: Nazrul

Terming midterm elections as a public demand, BNP Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan has said his party must leave no stone unturned to hold it.

“Midterm election is the demand of mass people and BNP will do whatever needed to arrange it,” said the top BNP leader while talking to journalists after placing wreath at its party founder Ziaur Rahman’s grave on Tuesday to mark Jubo Dal's 42nd founding anniversary.

Blaming the Election Commission as the subservient to the government, he further said no fair polls would be possible under this commission.

Criticizing the government for its lack of transparency in giving information on COVID-19, the BNP leader said, "Bangladesh is suffering from COVID-19.  But it is a matter of repent that people have lost their belief on COVID-19 data provided by the government. People have no confidence and belief in the government.”
