Fisherman jailed in Pirojpur

A fisherman in Pirojpur's Kawkhali has been sentenced to one month in jail for catching fish during the ongoing fishing ban.

Jailed person is Sushanto Malo, 24.

The upazila nirbahi officer and executive magistrate Mosammat Khaleda Khatun handed down the judgement on Saturday morning conducting a mobile court.

During the drive, around 2,000 metres current net was also recovered. Those were, later, destroyed.
