Dhaka University (DU) has decided that the first year undergraduate students will have to appear at admission tests in-person.
However, the university authorities also reduced the admission test numbers from 200 to 100. Of the 100 marks, 20 marks will be evaluated by the results of SSC and HSC examinations while rest 80 marks allocated for written and multiple choice examinations.
The decision was taken at a deans’ committee meeting held on the campus on Tuesday, said Social Science Faculty dean Professor Sadeka Halim.
Admission tests will be taken on unit based as usual like the previous years' exams, according to the decision taken by deans committee, she said.
Admission tests date of the university will be announced after publishing of HSC exams results.
